Veterinary service official liable for leakage to PepsiCo fired

MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- Head of the Vladimir Region’s department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight, who was deemed responsible for a leakage of classified documents to PepsiCo as a result of an internal probe, has been dismissed, the service’s press secretary Yulia Melano told reporters on Monday.

All the fellow officials working with the document will also be fired or transferred to other departments, Melano also said quoting the watchdog’s head Sergei Dankvert as saying.

In December, the service accused PepsiCo of getting its internal document illegally and said later it suspected the company of a hacker attack. PepsiCo denied all accusations.
